Elliott Chen is a graduate student at the University of California, Irvine in the department of Logic and Philosophy of Science. His research focuses on the metaphysical foundations of physical theories throughout the history of physics. In particular, he is interested in the development of the concepts of body and field from Newton to quantum field theory.
